Night Time Routine For Maintaining A Twist Out

In this short video, I show my bed time routine for preserving my Twist Out with a few simple steps using Full Bloom Beauty's Secure Satin Bonnet and Scrunchies

Maintaining a twist out can be a bit of a challenge, especially if you’re trying to keep your hair looking fresh and defined for more than just a day or two. However, with the right night time routine, you can help your twist out hold up and look great for days on end. In this blog, we’ll be sharing some tips and tricks for maintaining a twist out overnight.

Step 1: Secure with satin scrunchies

Tie up big sections of your hair using satin scrunchies that will keep your hair stretched without snagging.

Step 2: Protect with a satin bonnet

To prevent your twist out from getting flattened or squished overnight, it’s important to protect it while you sleep. There are a few ways you can do this, depending on your personal preference. Some people prefer to sleep with a silk or satin bonnet, which helps to minimize friction and keep your hair from getting tangled. Others prefer to sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase, which has similar benefits. Whichever option you choose, make sure your hair is tucked securely inside to prevent it from getting tangled or flattened.

Step 3: Refresh

When you wake up in the morning, your hair may have lost a bit of definition or gotten a bit flattened. To refresh your twist out, spritz your hair with a bit of water or a hair refresher spray, and then use your fingers to gently separate the twists. You can also use a pick or a wide-toothed comb to help separate the twists and add volume.

By following these simple steps, you can help your twist out look great for days on end. With a little bit of effort, you can maintain a beautiful, defined twist out that you’ll love showing off.
